TBS Specialist

Location: Lancaster, CA

Description: A Therapeutic Behavioral Services Specialist (TBSS) provides short term, intensive, behavioral interventions to severely disordered and impaired youth that are leaving or are at risk of being moved to a more restrictive level of care. The TBS Specialist works within the context of a client’s overall mental health treatment plan to help the client and their caregiver(s) address specific problematic behaviors. The position involves working designated shifts under the direct supervision of the TBS Supervisor. 

Requirements:

1.Bachelors degree related to the fields of psychology, social work or other majors defined by the Department of Mental Health as a related degree and one (1) year full-time related experience, OR high school diploma and three (3) years related experience OR DMH sponsored TBS Certification for training and internship.

2. Valid California drivers license, good driving record and current vehicle insurance.

Community Therapist

Location: Lynwood, CA; Gardena, CA; Rancho Cucamonga; Lancaster, CA

Description: A Community Therapist is responsible for specific clinical services to assigned youth and families so that they may become healthy, independent and productive members of their communities. A Community Therapist is expected to exercise professional judgment and discretion as a significant practitioner in the successful integration of treatment for clients.
A Community Therapist works designated shifts under the direct supervision of the Clinical Supervisor.

This position is available in both our Lancaster and Lynwood office.

Requirements:
1. Valid California license as a LCSW, MFT, PhD or PsyD; or a Masters degree and current registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an Associate MSW or MFT Intern.
2. Work experience in a comparable mental health setting.
3. Bilingual Spanish required.
4. Valid California drivers license, current vehicle insurance and a good driving record.

Wraparound Therapist

Location: Lancaster, CA; Bellflower, CA

Description: The Wraparound Therapist provides individual and family therapy as therapeutically necessary and as indicated in the youth’s service plan. The Wraparound Therapist coordinates with the Child and Family team to help encourage the involvement of the youths family and significant others in the treatment planning process and participation in therapy. This position requires good assessment skills, treatment planning and basic understanding of CBT/Family Systems and intervention techniques required. The therapist submits timely all required documentation and reports. Individual and group supervision provided.

Requirements:

Case Manager

Description: A case manager provides case management and behavioral guidance for program youth. Persons employed as case managers are responsible for the primary behavioral case management of the youth and families being served with secondary responsibility for providing specific linkage services. A case manager develops measurable case management objectives for clients as outlined in the Client Care Plan and monitors progress towards those goals.

Wraparound Child and Family Specialist

Location: Bellflower, CA

Description: The Child and Family Specialist is responsible for providing direct Wraparound services to assigned clients and families and functions as a member of the Child and Family Team (CFT). A Child and Family Specialist understands and can implement behavioral modification principles and techniques as a mental health intervention for client and families when applicable. A Child and Family Specialist is expected to exercise professional judgment and discretion in providing for the safety, permanency, and well-being of the clients. The Child and Family Specialist reports directly to the Program Manager.

Requirements:

1. A) Bachelors Degree in Human Services, Social Work, or Psychology plus one year experience working with high risk youth OR B) AA degree in Human Services, Social Work or Psychology plus one year experience working with high risk youth; OR C) High School diploma plus three years experience working with high risk youth.

2. Valid California Drivers license and a good driving record.

Wraparound Clinical Supervisor

Description: The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for assuring the overall provisions of comprehensive clinical services and case management of all Intensive Services program youth and adults. Clinical Supervisors are expected to exercise independent professional judgement and discretion in the leadership of the Intensive Services Department. The Clinical Supervisor reports directly to the Program Manager.

Requirements:

1. LCSW, LMFT, or PsyD State of California license.

2. Four years full-time experience in a comparable mental health setting and two years supervisory experience.

3. Valid California drivers license and a good driving record.

Case Specialist

Location: Bellflower, CA

Description: The Case Specialist is responsible for performing computer data entry in various systems, initiates the admission process to the Agency’s community programs and monitoring of open client charts to discharge and storage. The Case Specialist involves working designated shifts under the direct supervision of the Program Director or Supervisor.

Requirements:

1. High School Diploma preferred.

2. Excellent computer abilities and working knowledge in Clinitrak, IBHIS, Word and Excel skills.

3. Valid California Driver’s license and a good driving record.

Physical Requirements:
1. Ability to sit for most of the working day.

2. Ability to bend, twist, turn and reach.

3. Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.

4. Ability to work comfortably with paper products.

5. Ability to work at a computer terminal for extended periods of time.

Description: The Quality Improvement Specialist ensures the quality of services within the County’s Short-Doyle mental health system and compliance with various mandates and State laws, rules and regulations. The Quality Improvement Specialist supports staff and supervisors with technical and procedural training as needed. The Quality Improvement Specialist collaborates with supervisors and coordinators in updating new procedures and protocols as needed.

Requirements:

1. Working competency in both typing and computer programs including but not limited to Word and Excel.

2. Bachelors Degree (preferred).

Description: The Quality Improvement Clinician assists the Director in ensuring the quality of services within the County’s Short-Doyle mental health system and compliance with various legislative mandates and State laws, rules and regulations. They also attend DMH/other Medi-Cal Quality Improvement Committee meetings and other related conferences that benefit contract compliance and quality of services delivered.

The Quality Improvement Clinician reports to the Quality Improvement Director.

Requirements:

1. LCSW, MFT, or PhD preferred with a valid California license.

2. BBS registration required.

3. Four years full-time clinical experience in a comparable mental health setting and two years supervisory experience preferred.

4. Experience with DMH program services and documentation preferred.

Description: The Full-Service Partnership Therapist provides filed-based clinical services to adult clients and functions as a member of an assigned Full-Service Partnership team. Full-Service Partnership Therapists are expected to exercise professional judgment and discretion as a significant practitioner in the successful integration of treatment for their adult clients. This is a full-time position, on call 24/7. This position involves working designated shifts under the direct supervision of the Clinical Supervisor.
