TBS Specialist

Location: Lancaster, CA; Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Description: A Therapeutic Behavioral Services Specialist (TBSS) provides short term, intensive, behavioral interventions to severely disordered and impaired youth that are leaving or are at risk of being moved to a more restrictive level of care. The TBS Specialist works within the context of a client’s overall mental health treatment plan to help the client and their caregiver(s) address specific problematic behaviors. The position involves working designated shifts under the direct supervision of the TBS Supervisor. 

Requirements:

1.Bachelors degree related to the fields of psychology, social work or other majors defined by the Department of Mental Health as a related degree and one (1) year full-time related experience, OR high school diploma and three (3) years related experience OR DMH sponsored TBS Certification for training and internship.

2. Valid California drivers license, good driving record and current vehicle insurance.

COD Counselor

Location: Lynwood, CA

Description: A COD Counselor provides adjunctive rehabilitative services as related to mental health and co-occurring substance abuse issues for clients of Masada Homes. This includes serving as part of a treatment team, supporting the successful integration of COD treatment and educational services. COD Counselors work on identifying triggers, replacing coping skills, working on stages of change, motivational interviewing and other interventions to prevent the exacerbation and deterioration of life functioning, as well as to promote the progression of the individual within the context of the DMH contract.

Requirements:
1. Must have an active CCAPP membership (CADC I/II preferred).
2. Must have at least three years of recovery of a drug free lifestyle as of the date of application.
3. Valid California Drivers license, current vehicle insurance and a good driving record.
4. Bilingual Spanish required.

Competitive Pay: $20 – $25.75/per hour

Clinical Supervisor

Location: Lynwood, CA

Description:The Clinical Supervisor, as a member of the administrative committee, is responsible for assuring the overall provisions of comprehensive clinical services and case management of all community program youth. Clinical Supervisors are expected to exercise independent professional judgement and discretion in the leadership of the Community Clinical Services department.
The Clinical Supervisor reports directly to the Division Director.
This position is part of the School-Based Services program and is located at Lynwood Middle School .

Requirements:
1. LCSW, MFT or PhD with a valid California license.
2. Four years full-time clinical experience in a comparable mental health setting and two years supervisory experience.
3. Valid California Drivers license, current vehicle insurance and a good driving record.

Community Therapist

Description: A Community Therapist is responsible for specific clinical services to assigned youth and families so that they may become healthy, independent and productive members of their communities. A Community Therapist is expected to exercise professional judgment and discretion as a significant practitioner in the successful integration of treatment for clients.
A Community Therapist works designated shifts under the direct supervision of the Clinical Supervisor.

This position is available in both our Lancaster and Lynwood office.

Requirements:
1. Valid California license as a LCSW, MFT, PhD or PsyD; or a Masters degree and current registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an Associate MSW or MFT Intern.

Parent Partner

Location: Lancaster, CA

Description: Parent Partners are parents/caregivers who have first-hand experience with the various state systems, and who exhibited exceptional qualities in their own efforts to understand how systems work and an appreciation of what it takes to be successful, and the personal qualities that lend themselves to collaboration on various levels. Parent Partners serve as an advocate to mentor parents of our active clients. In order to be considered, the Parent Partner’s cases must be closed and he/she is maintaining family stability.

Requirements:

  1. Parent of, or experience as primary caregiver (excludes foster parent) for a child with serious emotional or behavioral problems who has been involved with DCFS, DMH, Regional Center or Probation.
  2. High School graduate or equivalent.
  3. No current open DCFS or Probation case.

Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) Supervisor

Description: The TBS Supervisor is the primary practitioner and collaborator in the successful provision of TBS services for clients. The TBS Supervisor is expected to exercise professional clinical judgment and discretion as TBS services are provided. The position involves supervising TBS Specialists under the direct supervision of the TBS Director.

Requirements:
1. MSW or MA in related field and current registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences and (2) years of work related experience in a comparable mental health setting.

2. Submitted required hours with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences and has completed the Law and Ethics Exam.

3. Able to provide clinical knowledge and skills for administering TBS in the context of a comprehensive mental health treatment plan including collaboration with the mental health team members.

4. Good communication skills and able to travel independently to various environments to provide TBS services to clients as needed.

5. Bilingual Spanish required.

Psychiatric Assistant

Location: Bellflower, CA

Description: The psychiatric assistant is responsible for assisting the psychiatrist and staff with providing Medication Support Services to our clients and families. The psychiatric assistant schedules, communicates and coordinates medication appointments for clients, including communicating with staff/treatment team members on follow up, confirmation, rescheduled appointments and/or cancellation updates. The position requires performing computer data entry into various web-based systems utilized by the agency and opening, monitoring, discharging and storing necessary supporting documentation.

The psychiatric assistant works designated shifts under the direct supervision of the Medication Support Manager.

Description: The Wraparound Facilitator is responsible for leading the Child and Family Team (CFT) in providing Wraparound services to assigned youth and their families. A Facilitator is expected to exercise professional judgment and discretion as a significant provider in the successful integration of services to provide for the safety, permanency, and well-being of the clients. A Facilitator seeks out and organizes client, family and CFT input to complete all case documentation including (but not limited to) Strength Summary, Plan of Care, Crisis and Safety Plan, Progress Notes, CFT Meeting notes and any other required documentation. The Facilitator reports directly to the Program Manger.

Requirements:

1. Bachelors Degree in a mental health related field.

2. Two years of experience working in a related mental health setting.

A) Bachelors Degree in Human Services, Social Work, or Psychology plus one year experience working with high risk youth OR B) AA degree in Human Services, Social Work or Psychology plus one year experience working with high risk youth; OR high school diploma plus three years experience working with high risk youth.

Description: The Wraparound Therapist provides individual and family therapy as therapeutically necessary and as indicated in the youth’s service plan. The Wraparound Therapist coordinates with the Child and Family team to help encourage the involvement of the youths family and significant others in the treatment planning process and participation in therapy. This position requires good assessment skills, treatment planning and basic understanding of CBT/Family Systems and intervention techniques required. The therapist submits timely all required documentation and reports. Individual and group supervision provided.

Wraparound Parent Partner

Location: Bellflower, CA

Description: A Wraparound Parent Partner is responsible for providing one-on-one guidance and support to families or caregivers of Wraparound clients in a variety of environments and community settings. A Wraparound Parent Partner is expected to exercise professional judgment and discretion as a significant member of the Child and Family Team (CFT). A Wraparound Parent Partner establishes positive and respectful relationships with client’s caregivers within professional boundaries and in accordance with agency policies and procedures.

This position works under the direct supervision of the Clinical Supervisor or Program Manager.

Requirements:

1. High School graduate or GED.

2. Must have been the parent or primary caregiver (not foster parent) of a child/youth who received servies from DCFS, Probation, State Regional Center, or Department of Mental Health.

3. No current open DCFS or Probation case for at least one year.

4. Bilingual Spanish required.

5. Valid CA drivers license and a good driving record.
