COD Counselor

Location: Lynwood, CA

Description: A COD Counselor provides adjunctive rehabilitative services as related to mental health and co-occurring substance abuse issues for clients of Masada Homes. This includes serving as part of a treatment team, supporting the successful integration of COD treatment and educational services. COD Counselors work on identifying triggers, replacing coping skills, working on stages of change, motivational interviewing and other interventions to prevent the exacerbation and deterioration of life functioning, as well as to promote the progression of the individual within the context of the DMH contract.

Requirements:
1. Must have an active CCAPP membership (CADC I/II preferred).
2. Must have at least three years of recovery of a drug free lifestyle as of the date of application.
3. Valid California Drivers license, current vehicle insurance and a good driving record.
4. Bilingual Spanish required.

Competitive Pay: $20 – $25.75/per hour

Clinical Supervisor

Location: Lynwood, CA

Description:The Clinical Supervisor, as a member of the administrative committee, is responsible for assuring the overall provisions of comprehensive clinical services and case management of all community program youth. Clinical Supervisors are expected to exercise independent professional judgement and discretion in the leadership of the Community Clinical Services department.
The Clinical Supervisor reports directly to the Division Director.
This position is part of the School-Based Services program and is located at Lynwood Middle School .

Requirements:

Full-Time MAT Assessor

Location: Gardena, CA

Description: A MAT Assessor is responsible for timely, comprehensive and strength-based clinical assessments of children placed in
out-of-home cares. A MAT Assessor works collaboratively with the MAT Team (includes Department of Children & Family Services Staff, foster parents, biological parents, medical professionals, teachers, regional center, etc.) to determine what services are most needed by the child(ren) and family.
Position is based in Gardena but requires travel throughout Los Angeles County and border counties.

Requirements:
1. Registered or Licensed MFT or MSW with the Board of Behavioral Sciences. Licensed preferred.
2. Excellent writing skills.
3. Experience with DMH documentation.
4. Experience with Microsoft Word Excel & Acrobat

Quality Improvement Clinician

Location: Gardena, CA

Description: The Quality Improvement Clinician assists the Coordinator in ensuring the quality of services within the County’s Short-Doyle mental health system and compliance with various legislative mandates and State laws, rules and regulations. They also attend DMH/other Medi-Cal Quality Improvement Committee meetings and other related conferences that benefit contract compliance and quality of services delivered.
The Quality Improvement Clinician reports to the Quality Improvement Director.

Requirements:

Case Specialist

Description: The Case Specialist is responsible for performing computer data entry in various system, initiates the admission process to the Agency’s community programs and monitors open client charts to discharge and storage. The Case Specialist requests and tracks documentation from program staff to ensure vital billing information is accurate and complete within timelines. The Case Specialist ensures integrity of the client records through accurate filing and updating of chart materials.

The Case Specialist position involves working designated shifts under the direct supervision of the Program Director or Supervisor.

This position is available in both our Norwalk and Lancaster office.

Case Manager

Description: A Case Manager provides case management and behavioral guidance for program youth. Persons employed as case managers are responsible for the primary behavioral case management of the youth and families being served with secondary responsibility for providing specific linkage services. A Case Manager will develop measurable case management objectives for clients as outlined in the Client Care Plan and monitors progress toward those goals.

Child and Family Specialist

Description: The Child and Family Specialist (CFS) is responsible for providing direct Wraparound services to assigned clients and families and functions as a member of the Child and Family Team (CFT). A CFS is expected to exercise professional judgment and discretion in providing for the safety, permanency and well-being of the clients. The CFS provides general case management services (resource identification & linkage) to clients in accordance with their strengths, needs and desires. The CFS reports directly to the Program Coordinator.

Bachelors degree in Human Services, Social Work or Psychology plus one year experience working with high risk youth OR B) AA degree in Human Services, Social Work or Psychology plus one year experience working with high risk youth; OR high school diploma plus three years experience working with high risk youth.

Parent Partner

Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) Supervisor

Description: The TBS Supervisor is the primary practitioner and collaborator in the successful provision of TBS services for clients. The position involves supervising TBS Specialists under the direct supervision of the TBS Director.

Requirements:
1. MSW or MA in related field and current registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences and (2) years of work related experience in a comparable mental health setting.

2. Submitted required hours with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences and has completed the Law and Ethics Exam.

3. Able to provide clinical knowledge and skills for administering TBS in the context of a comprehensive mental health treatment plan including collaboration with the mental health team members.

4. Good communication skills and able to travel independently to various environments to provide TBS services to clients as needed.

Description: The Wraparound Therapist provides individual and family therapy as therapeutically necessary and as indicated in the youth’s service plan. This position requires good assessment skills, treatment planning and basic understanding of CBT/Family Systems and intervention techniques required. Requirements:

1. Masters degree or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy.

2. Successfully completed and graduated from an accredited entry-level occupational therapy program recognized by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education.

3. Certified by the National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy.

4. Currently licensed by the California Board of Occupational Therapy.
