We serve Children, Youth, Families, and Individual Adults in Los Angeles County and Beyond

Our mental health programs and services range in intensity from outpatient prevention/early intervention to intensive programs that provide 24/7 crisis response, assessment, and intervention. Masada’s offerings include individual and family therapy, psychiatry, occupational therapy, therapeutic behavioral services, case management, and rehabilitation.

Our multicultural clinicians have specialized expertise working with vulnerable populations, including children in foster care, youth on probation, families impacted by immigration, homelessness, substance use, domestic violence, and other issues related to poverty, discrimination, and lack of opportunity.

Masada’s clinical teams use a variety of trauma-informed, evidence-based practices to ensure the best outcomes for our clients. The voice and choice of each client and family anchor our treatment approach.

Prevention/Early Intervention (PEI) Services

PEI Services utilize prevention and early intervention strategies to identify and treat mental health problems before they worsen and require more extensive treatment. PEI Services are for individuals and families for whom a short (usually less than one year) and relatively low-intensity intervention is appropriate. Services are provided at Masada’s offices, the client’s home or school, and via telehealth when appropriate and desired by the client/family.

Occupational Therapy Services (for Children, Youth, & Adults)

Occupational Therapy (OT) helps individuals build and maintain the ability to participate in activities that have been disrupted by trauma, illness, or developmental delays. Targeted OT interventions build confidence in navigating day-to-day challenges such as improving school performance, enhancing communication and interaction with family members and peers, and regulating responses to sensory stressors and environmental distractions.

Our Occupational Therapists work with families and caregivers while assessing a child’s needs and establishing an individualized treatment plan. Services are offered at Masada offices, the client’s home or school, and in designated community locations.

Enhanced Care Management (ECM) for Children & Youth

Masada’s ECM program serves children and youth up to age 18. ECM applies a whole-person care approach to address the health, mental health, and social needs of children and teens enrolled in participating Medi-Cal Managed Care Plans (Anthem, HealthNet, or LA Care).

Each ECM participant has a dedicated Masada Lead Care Manager who helps ensure the child or young person receives the services they need. Lead Care Managers help clients address barriers and challenges, including finding and communicating with doctors, making appointments, setting up transportation, and facilitating connections to community services, including food, housing, employment, and counseling.

Masada’s ECM teams cover all of South Los Angeles County (Service Areas 6, 7, and 8).

Masada’s Carson Office is the contact point for all ECM service areas:
