Job Description:

We are a non-profit, community based, mental health agency serving Norwalk, CA and surrounding areas, seeking one (1) full-time Occupational Therapist to work with adult clients with a variety of mental health diagnoses. Looking for passionate and flexible OT's who enjoy working with a diverse population. Populations consist of FSP TY (young transition age youth) and FSP Adults. Treatment is conducted at client homes, in the office, and in the community in collaboration with a multi disciplinary team of case managers, social workers, MFT's, and chemical dependency counselors. Job Description:

The Controller is responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate financial statements in a timely manner for a non-profit mental health agency. This position will lead all day-to-day finance operations for a budget of $17 million plus, manage a team of three (3) finance department staff members as well as oversee payroll, budget development and analysis, general ledger preparation, account reconciliations, taxes, financial reporting in accordance with the GAAP, and relationship management with our agency bank representatives and vendors. An understanding of the County of Los Angeles Department of Mental Health contracts is essential. Controller position reports to the agency's Executive Director.


Primary Duties:
  1. Manages all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
  2. Maintains internal control safeguards for the receipt of revenue, costs and both program budgets and actual expenditures.
  3. Ensures that the agency finance department complies with the established rules of operation, procedures and controls, and policies related to confidential information. Reviews existing accounting/financial controls, legal compliance processes and make any necessary revisions or additions when applicable.
  4. Reviews all journal entries prepared by agency finance department staff members which entails the following: bank reconciliations, all general ledger accounts, transactions posted to the accounting system, and monthly and year-end closes.
  5. Oversees the activities for disbursements, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, core employee expense reports, cash control, and core payroll processing utilizing external payroll service.
  6. Oversees accounts receivables to ensure the accurate and timely management of all accounts receivable aging components including billings, cash receipts application, monthly, quarterly and year-end closing including monitoring federal and state reports prepared by outside agency.
  7. Assists agency program management team with annual budgeting and planning process, administers/reviews all budget plans and compares to actual result which may lead to correcting variances when applicable.
  8. Reviews agency's bank “Line of Credit” for the most prudent and cost-effective manner with the Executive Director and bank institution to obtain the most favorable interest rates related to the "Line of Credit”. 9. Serves as the primary contact with agency auditors during all financial audits. 10. Other duties assigned (attend DMH financial trainings, etc.)

Qualifications:
  1. Requires a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, Master's Degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
  2. Five (5) years plus of managerial experience in a non-profit organization with knowledge of A122 and A133 circulars required.
  3. Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and being a strategic thinker.
  4. Keen analytic, organization and problem-solving skill set.
  5. Good verbal and written communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data, including financial reports presentations to the agency board members or other outside vendors.
  6. Knowledgeable of County of Los Angeles Department of Mental Health contracts is highly preferred.
  7. Advanced excel skills is highly preferred (technology savvy).
  8. Valid California Driver's License, good driving record with current auto insurance.

Job Description: The Quality Improvement Clinician assists the Coordinator in ensuring the quality of services within the County's Short-Doyle mental health system and compliance with various legislative mandates and State laws, rules and regulations. They also attend DMH/other Medi-Cal Quality Improvement Committee meetings and other related conferences that benefit contract compliance and quality of services delivered.

The Quality Improvement Clinician reports to the Quality Improvement Director.

Requirements:

  1. LCSW, MFT or PhD preferred with a valid California license.
  2. BBS registration required.
  3. Four years full-time clinical experience in a comparable mental health setting and two years supervisory experience preferred.
  4. Experience with DMH program services and documentation preferred.

Job Description: The Wraparound Therapist provides individual and family therapy as therapeutically necessary and as indicated in the youth’s service plan. The Wraparound Therapist coordinates with the Child and Family team to help encourage the involvement of the youths family and significant others in the treatment planning process and participation in therapy. This position requires good assessment skills, treatment planning and basic understanding of CBT/Family Systems and intervention techniques required. The therapist submits timely all required documentation and reports. Individual and group supervision provided.

Requirements:

  1. Valid California license as a LCSW, MFT, PhD or PsyD; or a Masters degree and current registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an Associate MSW or MFT Intern.
  2. Work experience in a comparable mental health setting.
  3. Bilingual Spanish preferred.
