Job Description: We are a non-profit, community based, mental health agency serving Norwalk, CA and surrounding areas, seeking one (1) full-time Occupational Therapist to work with adult clients with a variety of mental health diagnoses. Looking for passionate and flexible OT's who enjoy working with a diverse population. Populations consist of FSP TY (young transition age youth) and FSP Adults. Treatment is conducted at client homes, in the office, and in the community in collaboration with a multi disciplinary team of case managers, social workers, MFT's, and chemical dependency counselors. Job Description: The TBS Supervisor is the primary practitioner and collaborator in the successful provision of TBS services for clients. The TBS Supervisor is expected to utilize behavior-based skills and discretion when rendering TBS services. The position involves supervising the TBS Specialists under the direct supervision of the TBS Director.

 

Requirements:

  1. MSW or MA in a related field and current registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences and two (2) years of work-related experience in a comparable mental health setting.
  2. Submitted required hours with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences and has completed the Law & Ethics exam.
  3. Able to provide behavior-based knowledge and skills for administering TBS in the context of a comprehensive mental health treatment plan including collaborating with the mental health team members.
  4. Good communication skills and able to travel independently to various environments to provide TBS services as needed.
  5. Bilingual Spanish required.
  6. Valid California driver's license, good driving record, and current vehicle insurance.

Job Description: The Community Therapist is responsible for specific clinical services to assigned youth and families so that they become healthy, independent and productive members of their communities. A Community Therapist is expected to exercise professional judgment and discretion as a significant practitioner in the integration of treatment for clients. The Community Therapist provides community-based mental health services to children/adolescents throughout the Antelope Valley.

Job Description: The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for assuring the overall provisions of comprehensive clinical services and case management of all community program youth. Clinical Supervisors are expected to exercise independent professional judgment and discretion in the leadership of the Community Clinical Services department.

The Clinical Supervisor reports directly to the Regional Director.

 

Duties:

  • Strength-Based Approach
    • Is capable of accurately identifying and building on the strengths of
      employees to better reach their potential.
    • Demonstrates the ability to fairly evaluate staff and provide them with the input necessary to improve performance.
    • Orients and trains new therapists, ensuring that all staff have the training to competently perform the duties of their position.
  • Communication/Collaboration
    • Assures multi-disciplinary service in coordination with the treatment team
      and outside providers.
    • Coordinates weekly treatment team meetings/case reviews and ensures that the treatment plans are formulated, implemented and regularly evaluated.
    • Regularly communicates with the Quality Improvement Liaison and implements necessary program adjustments.
  • Integrity
    • Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations, contractual
      requirements and ethical standards of the profession.
    • Performs all duties within appropriate scope and boundaries and with application of legal and ethical standards.

  • Accountability
    • Administratively supervises an appropriate number of staff as directed by
      the Program Director.

    • Is fully acquainted with all the responsibilities of the therapist’s duties and provides urgent, on-call or back-up clinical services when needed.

    • Provides clinical supervision and supportive consultation to therapists,
      team members and other supervisors.

    • Assists in development or modification of procedures to deal with
      individual clients or groups.

    • Oversees the provision of therapeutic services, ensuring that clients are receiving necessary clinical care and guidance and that all documentation,
      reports and case records are thoroughly and properly completed on time. Monitors staffs’ economy of time and accountability of service.

    • Provides 12 hours per week of direct, billable services to community
      clients.

    • Conducts periodic, regular internal audits of files; ensures quality control of reports and adherence to DMH requirements.

    • Provides supportive guidance by way of regular participation in inter-disciplinary meetings, individual counseling, county worker conferences
      and direct in-home clinical service, as necessary.

    • Facilitates and/or assists/attends staff meetings, in-service training and conferences as scheduled.

    • Performs other duties as directed by supervisor.

 

Requirements:

  1. LCSW, MFT or Ph.D with a valid California license, or LPCC with 6 semester
    units or 9 quarter units focused specifically on the theory and application of
    marriage and family therapy in each license renewal cycle.
  2. Four years full-time clinical experience in a comparable mental health setting and two years supervisory experience.
  3. Three years administrative experience required.
  4. Valid California driver's license, good driving record and must be able to drive to
    fulfill the duties of the position.

Job Description: A Case Manager provides case management and behavioral guidance for program youth. Persons employed as case managers are responsible for the primary behavioral case management of the youth and families being served with secondary responsibility for providing specific linkage services. The Case Manager will develop measurable case management objectives for clients as outlined in the Client Care Plan and monitor their progress toward those goals.

 

The position involves working designated shifts under the direct supervision of the Clinical Supervisor.

Job Description: The Quality Improvement Clinician assists the Coordinator in ensuring the quality of services within the County's Short-Doyle mental health system and compliance with various legislative mandates and State laws, rules and regulations. They also attend DMH/other Medi-Cal Quality Improvement Committee meetings and other related conferences that benefit contract compliance and quality of services delivered.

The Quality Improvement Clinician reports to the Quality Improvement Director.

 

Requirements:

Job Description: The Wraparound Therapist provides individual and family therapy as therapeutically necessary and as indicated in the youth’s service plan. The Wraparound Therapist coordinates with the Child and Family team to help encourage the involvement of the youths family and significant others in the treatment planning process and participation in therapy. This position requires good assessment skills, treatment planning and basic understanding of CBT/Family Systems and intervention techniques required.
