Job Description: A COD Counselor provides adjunctive rehabilitative services as related to mental health and co-occurring substance abuse issues for clients of Masada Homes. This includes serving as part of a treatment team, supporting the successful integration of COD treatment and educational services. COD Counselors work on identifying triggers, replacing coping skills, working on stages of change, motivational interviewing and other interventions to prevent the exacerbation and deterioration of life functioning, as well as to promote the progression of the individual within the context of the DMH contract.

Job Description: The Junior Accountant will be responsible for accounts payable, account analysis and reconciliations, assisting with monthly and year end closings, special projects, as well as integrating the work of our accounting department. There is required contact with vendors which requires strong interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written. This position reports to the organizations Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Accounts payable: enter invoices, credit card transactions and prepare vendor payments.
  2. Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor cash accounts/activity.
  3. Responsible for creating and recording entries into the general ledger.
  4. Assist with month end and year end closing responsibilities.
